Myra Grace Hooker
Founder, Principal Interior Designer
Myra formed Graceland Design Studio in San Francisco in 2018. Myra’s early project’s included creating untraditional work spaces for institutions in the tech and philanthropy fields. Myra brings twenty years of experience in product design, project management, museum curation, textiles, and marketing to her practice.
After over a decade in California, Myra and her husband, Alex, made the move to Asheville for proximity to family and nature. She is also the mother of a couple of kids who are always making wonderful mischief somewhere.
Alex Hooker
Custom Build Specialist
Alex joined Graceland Design Studio in 2020 to help fabricate the unique and imaginative interiors envisioned by his wife, Myra. He brings more than two decades of wide-ranging experience in design and construction spanning theatrical sets, landscaping National Parks, renovations, and custom furniture.
Whitney Lanier
Studio Coordinator
Whitney joined Graceland Design Studio in 2023 to manage procurement and installation for our expanding project base. She brings over a decade of experience in fine art, art history, and art education, and has been streamlining and managing systems across multiple business sectors.
Liz Gennett
Design Assistant
Liz brings over 15 years of experience in the home industry. With a strong understanding of the operational side of design, Liz helps connect Graceland’s clients with the best resources pieces and ideas.
